This blog concerns the prophecies of the coming Great Tribulation, and how to become somewhat prepared for it. The Great Tribulation, which occurs during the approximately 3 ½ years the Antichrist is given authority, will affect mostly Christians and Jews. The 3 ½ years (roughly) preceding it, however, is a time of wars, diseases, famines, and government sponsored genocide which will affect everyone on earth. Even unbelievers who align themselves with the beast, to avoid persecution, must suffer the events of the cosmic chaos which will occur toward the end of this period. The “wrath of God” is a short time period (possibly 30-45 days) which occurs after the Great Tribulation, and will affect only unbelievers.)
Proverbs 22:3 says that a wise man sees trouble ahead, and plans for it, but the fool continues on, and is destroyed. This blog is intended for every wise person, regardless of religious beliefs.
I am an ever-learning student of the Bible. My views are subject to change without notice. My goal is simply to teach others what I do know.
If you can learn anything from me, that is good. But if you disagree, and get mad, that’s even better. Because then you will study the Bible even more to prove me wrong.
I am not a wise person. I am slow to comprehend. I stumble and stutter when I speak, and my writing reflects that. Some unbelievers sneer at my weaknesses, and some Christians tell me to just keep silent because I make other Christians look bad.
But the Bible doesn’t command me to make Christians look good. When Jesus died on the cross and offered the whole world eternal salvation, He did all that was necessary to make Christianity look good. There is nothing any of us foolish mortals can do to add to that.
A Christian’s job is simply to try to live our life as an example to others (Matthew 5:13-16) despite our ineptness (Matthew 25:14-15). Our job is to teach others (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-15) despite our inabilities (Luke 12:47-48). Our job is to be a watchman sounding a trumpet of warning (Ezekiel 33:2-9). And nothing in the job description requires us to be wise or to be an eloquent speaker.
In fact, 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound (humiliate) the things which are mighty”. So, you see, my stupidity (when expounding God’s word) has nothing to do with me, it’s all about you.
And God gives a strong warning against not speaking- When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.- Ezekiel 3:18
